Husband/Wife: I'm married to Cristiana Montefuscoli (also a geologist).
Children: Francesco 9, Chiara 5
Since graduating or leaving ASU...  I'm currently Associate Professor at the University of Roma "La Sapienza".

Personal activities such as hobbies, memberships, etc  I like very much to ride MTBs

Awards, honors, or other accomplishments or achievements  My Ph.D. thesis received an award as the best mineralogical thesis in 1994 by the SIMP (Societa' Italiana di Mineralogia e Petrologia: Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrology), the Italian equivalent of MSA. I received the Ugo Panichi prize by the SIMP as the best Italian young researcher in the mineralogical field for the 1996-1998 period.
