My family and myself
Well as you can see I am at LLNL. We have been totally consumed by the Stardust mission for the past 5 years. We have almost completed installation of the first 300 keV FEI Titan "SuperSTEM" equipped with a monochromator and dual spherical aberration correctors. This instrument was funded by NASA and LLNL. It's a "beast"!
Since moving moving to California I have resumed my childhood passion of sailing. In February I and a friend sailed from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, ~800 miles total. We had big seas and foul winds which meant no sleep and no hot food for days at a time. However, after a couple Margarita's in Cabo we decided it had been a great trip.
