My family and myself

I live in Italy with Chicca, and a red cat (Simba). I am professor of Mineralogy at the University of Torino (Torino, Italy). My research is focused in crystal-chemistry of various silicates and titano-disilicates and on mineral physics of silicates using single crystal X-ray diffraction (high-temperature and high-pressure studies). I am also interested on meteoritic pyroxenes. I am Associated Editor and Crystal Structure Editor of the Mineralogical Magazine.

Honours
2009 A new mineral CÁMARAITE was named after Fernando Cámara in recognition to his contribution to the field of mineralogy and crystallography.
