My family and myself

Hua Xin was with the group from 1991 through 2000. Prior to that she was an Associate Professor of Cosmochemistry at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). She received a BS in Geophysics in 1970 and Ph.D. in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry in 1990, with Ph.D. advisors A. El Goresy (Max-Planck Institut für Kernphysik, Germany) and Z. Y. Ouyang (Academy of Sciences, China). The study of carbonaceous chon-drites and cosmochemistry have been the focus of her research interest for many years.

Her husband, Changming Hu, was a pro-fessor of Paleontology and Paleoecology at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) before coming to the US. He currently works in the Q C department of Fuji True Color Corp. in Tempe. They have two daughters. Bin Hu (23) is a graduate student at ASU, majoring in electrical engineering, and Yang Hu (18) is an under-graduate student at ASU, majoring in computer system engineering.
