I graduated in 1999, but have been working at the Phoenix PD crime lab since 1995. I've spent time performing controlled substances analysis, firearms examination, and trace evidence examination. My current position here at the crime lab is the Quality Manager (we are accredited and I'm the one responsible for ensuring we stay accredited) as well as the supervisor of the Trace Evidence section. Been here over 15 years now, getting to be one of the "old timers." When I started there were about 30 people total - now we have 150 positions (some vacant). In July of 2007 we moved into our new 100,000 sq ft laboratory, which is an exciting time considering we used to FULLY occupy 17,000 sq ft.
I met my wife, Shannon, in 1996 while living at Meridian Corners and taking the daily bike ride to the lab. In 1998 I married her and we moved to a home in the north valley, we're on to a second house but still live in the far north valley. We have no children but do have a pet Jack Russell terrier.
