Since February 1995 Paul has been a postdoctoral research fellow at the Mineral Physics Institute, Center for High Pressure Research (CHiPR), housed in the Department of Earth and Space Sciences, State University of New York at Stony Brook. Paulís responsibilities include in situ high-pressure and high-temperature XRD analysis to determine thermoelastic properties of phyllosilicates. His studies help facilitate the protocol and interpretation of X-ray powder diffraction analyses. Paul is also involved with community education connections such as ĎLetís Make Diamond,í Summer Scholar Internships, and undergraduate students developing applets for the CHiPR web page.
